Our approach

Professional guidance in therapeutic care

We provide a safe and confidential therapeutic space where individuals can explore their emotions with clarity and care. Our work is grounded in ethical practice, professional responsibility, and a deep respect for each person’s unique experience, values, and rhythm.

Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I believe therapy should adapt to who you are, supporting personal insight, emotional balance, and meaningful change over time.

My story

Holistic, Client-Centered Mental Health Care

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) with over 15 years of experience in the field since 2008. I take a holistic, client-centered approach that focuses on mental health, overall well-being, and helping individuals create meaningful, lasting change.

I work with clients to address immediate concerns while building long-term goals using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and other individualized techniques.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, with areas of focus including depression, anxiety, traumatic brain injury (TBI), Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and substance use disorders.

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Concord University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from West Virginia University.

Outside of work, I enjoy woodworking, bicycle riding, walking trails, and lifelong learning through new experiences and continued education.

Trauma-Informed Care for Healing & Growth

My name is Kristen Loomis, Ed.D., MSW, LICSW, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has been providing therapy services since 2021. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Concord University in 2020 and my Master’s degree in Social Work from Concord University in 2021. I completed my Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling with a focus in Traumatology from Liberty University in 2025.

I work with teens and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use, and I am trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT. I utilize a combination of approaches including CBT, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy to tailor treatment to each individual.

I am passionate about helping clients feel safe, supported, and understood. I believe therapy should be a space where individuals can explore their experiences without judgment and build the tools needed to move forward with confidence.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our chocolate lab, Tucker.

My story

Authentic Therapy Rooted in Connection & Growth

I am a licensed therapist in the state of West Virginia and earned my master’s degree from West Virginia University. I provide individualized therapy for adults ages 18+ and integrate approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strength-Based Therapy, and Medication-Assisted Treatment.

My focus is creating a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship grounded in honesty, transparency, and human connection. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel understood while also being respectfully challenged, and I strive to bring warmth, humor, and authenticity into the therapy space.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, home renovation projects, and sharing my love of good food.

My story

A Thoughtful Approach to Care & Change

My journey in counseling began with a deep curiosity about human behavior and the emotional experiences that shape who we are. Over the years, I have developed a practice grounded in attentive listening, ethical responsibility, and a genuine commitment to each individual’s well-being.

I believe that meaningful therapeutic work starts with trust, safety, and a respectful understanding of personal history and context.

My story

Compassionate Support for Change & Healing

My name is Ryan Casto, and I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Virginia University. I grew up in a small town in southern West Virginia and have spent the past 12 years working with a wide range of individuals and communities across the state.

I have experience working with concerns including social and generalized anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, autism, trauma, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), specific phobias, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and more. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), art and music therapy, and client-centered therapy.

I am passionate about continuing to grow and expand my knowledge as a therapist. My motivation for entering this field has always come from a desire to help others and use my strengths in listening, support, and connecting people with resources. In every role I’ve taken, my goal has been to make a positive difference in someone’s life.

Outside of work, I enjoy coaching youth sports teams and volunteering in my community whenever possible.
